Epic Pool Parties Return to Miami and announce Six Days of Events Including Official WMC Opening Party with Kings of House, Repopulate Mars, Amnesia,  Do Not Sleep and More The Kimpton EPIC Hotel, Miami https://theepicpoolparty.com https://www.facebook.com/theepicpoolparty/ The Epic Pool Parties were one of the most talked about events of the Winter Music Conference in Miami. After this game-changing debut in 2019 they return to The Kimpton EPIC Hotel bigger and better in 2020 for six days of carefully programmed parties. There will be one unmissable party each day of the Conference from Tuesday March 17th to Sunday, March 22nd. The first ones to be announced are the WMC Official Opening Party with the legendary Kings of House, aka Louie Vega and David Morales, as well as Amnesia Presents x Do Not Sleep on Wednesday March 18 and a special Repopulate Mars day-night party on Friday March 20th. Located in the heart of Downtown Miami, Kimpton EPIC Hotel is an urban hotel that exudes the beauty and essence of the city through unparalleled experiences and views of Biscayne Bay. The ultimate Miami getaway, Kimpton EPIC Hotel just got even better with the completion of a full redesign. On the heels of its 10th anniversary, extensive renovations of its guestrooms and suites, lobby and pool area were just debuted, setting the stage for the most EPIC WMC parties yet. The events will take place on the newly imagined 16th floor at the hotel’s pool deck overlooking the city, complete with palm trees, bars, and cabanas. It’s a venue like no other, complete with a world-class sound system ensuring every beat is as warm and clear as the skies above. These carefully curated parties feature the worlds best DJs, brands and labels and come from the accomplished team at Electric Ibiza, who run iconic events at the White Isle's most famous venues, from Amnesia to Ibiza Rocks, Café Mambo to Pacha and Space Ibiza. Here they work once more in partnership with Miami legend Jonathan Cowan, Square One and WMC. Last year, the likes of Kerri Chandler, Victor Calderone, MK, Defected, Do Not Sleep, Repopulate Mars and Claptone’s ‘The Masquerade’ all featured. Say Jonathan Cowan on this year's offerings: "After a few years hiatus from the Miami Music Week program, last year was a huge success. I feel the conference has really come back into its own these past few years and is back as an important part of the dance music calendar. 2020 Epic Week will be the best DJs and brands showcasing their talents with an amazing backdrop of downtown Miami, and with Ultra just a few blocks away, we sure are expecting another huge week of music." On March 17th the entire Winter Music Conference kicks off with the one and only Official Opening Party at The Epic, which also happens to fall on St Patrick's Day, and the headliners couldn't be more perfect: the Kings of House, aka Louie Vega and David Morales, have been there since day one, pioneering various forms of the genre from vocal and uplifting to more dark and driving. They have decades of knowledge and know how between them, vast arsenal of tunes to call upon to make sure the exact right beat plays at the exact right moment, and are sure to serve up a real masterclass to get this year's conference and series under way.  Next up on Wednesday March 18th is one of Ibiza's most iconic clubs, Amnesia, who team up with underground house party Do Not Sleep. As such you can expect the best in cutting edge  house, slick tech sounds and electric atmospheres from some of the scene's most essential and innovative talents. The party is in for a huge 2020 with a tour of Australia and New Zealand also planned, so expect them to pull out all the stops when they hit Miami.  On March 20th, Lee Foss's red hot Repopulate Mars label will bring its key talents to the Epic for an afternoon and early evening session of unrivalled house music. Last years show was a complete sell out with the label being known for its cosmic parties with extravagant production, fancy costumed characters and immersive performers. As well as releases from the main man Lee Foss, the label was a DJ Mag award winner in 2018 after boasting killer tunes from the likes of Latmum, Mason Maynard, Detlef and Solardo. Says Lee Foss, "Repopulate Mars will rip open the fabric of space and time to return to Miami Music Week to host their intergalactic pool party on Mars at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel on Friday March 20th. Expect a day of outer space hedonism that will have punk funk kids shedding clothes, aliens shedding skin and cyborgs getting down to an electrifying line-up of the best names in house and techno." These Epic Pool Parties will be just that, and promise to be the most talked about dances during the whole of the WMC 2020. The next three shows and full line-ups will come in the next few weeks.  ______________________ Tuesday March 17th at The Kimpton EPIC Hotel WMC Official Opening Party Kings of House, aka Louie Vega and David Morales Wednesday March 18th at The Kimpton EPIC Hotel Amnesia Presents x Do Not Sleep Friday March 20th at The Kimpton EPIC Hotel Repopulate Mars 12pm-11pm

These carefully curated parties feature the worlds best DJs, brands and labels and come from the accomplished team at Electric Ibiza, who run iconic events at the White Isle’s most famous venues, from Amnesia to Ibiza Rocks, Café Mambo to Pacha and Space Ibiza.

Say Jonathan Cowan on this year’s offerings: “After a few years hiatus from the Miami Music Week program, last year was a huge success. I feel the conference has really come back into its own these past few years and is back as an important part of the dance music calendar. 2020 Epic Week will be the best DJs and brands showcasing their talents with an amazing backdrop of downtown Miami, and with Ultra just a few blocks away, we sure are expecting another huge week of music.”

On March 17th the entire Winter Music Conference kicks off with the one and only Official Opening Party at The Epic, which also happens to fall on St Patrick’s Day, and the headliners couldn’t be more perfect: the Kings of House, aka Louie Vega and David Morales, have been there since day one, pioneering various forms of the genre from vocal and uplifting to more dark and driving. They have decades of knowledge and know how between them, vast arsenal of tunes to call upon to make sure the exact right beat plays at the exact right moment, and are sure to serve up a real masterclass to get this year’s conference and series under way.

Next up on Wednesday March 18th is one of Ibiza’s most iconic clubs, Amnesia, who team up with underground house party Do Not Sleep. As such you can expect the best in cutting edge  house, slick tech sounds and electric atmospheres from some of the scene’s most essential and innovative talents. The party is in for a huge 2020 with a tour of Australia and New Zealand also planned, so expect them to pull out all the stops when they hit Miami.

On March 20th, Lee Foss’s red hot Repopulate Mars label will bring its key talents to the Epic for an afternoon and early evening session of unrivalled house music.

Says Lee Foss, “Repopulate Mars will rip open the fabric of space and time to return to Miami Music Week to host their intergalactic pool party on Mars at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel on Friday March 20th. Expect a day of outer space hedonism that will have punk funk kids shedding clothes, aliens shedding skin and cyborgs getting down to an electrifying line-up of the best names in house and techno.”

These Epic Pool Parties will be just that, and promise to be the most talked about dances during the whole of the WMC 2020. The next three shows and full line-ups will come in the next few weeks.

After a brilliant 2019 edition with more than 20000 attendees through the weekend, legendary French techno festival FAMILY PIKNIK will double the dose next summer with two full days of underground action from noon to midnight on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of July. The first wave of names to be announced include Erol Alkan and Fisher, Worakls Orchestra and Monolink both live, as well as Artbat and Mathame.  Taking place in Montpellier, the historical heart of techno in France, the 9th edition of the open-air festival is set to be wild once more. The usual Opening Concert will switch to a full day but will keep a focus on Live Acts while Sunday will offer a full and red hot schedule with the best house and techno DJs in the world.  Family Piknik is used to hosting heavy line-ups, and they don’t come much bigger than Erol Alkan, the Phantasy Sound label boss and master of a wide range of eclectic sounds from indie rave to techno to electro. Joining him will be the one and only Australian Fisher, the global house superstar behind one of the biggest dance floor anthems of the last 10 years with "Losing It.” The first wave of names also includes a live show from the always impressive French talent Worakls Orchestra, who layers up sounds in magical ways. There will also be another live show from Monolink, the German DJ, singer-songwriter and electronic producer who specializes in ambient, techno, electronica and always serves up a fine soundtrack. Ukranian duo Artbat have had a standout 2019 with plenty of high Beatport hits and they bring their fresh tech on the Sunday, with Mathame are the Italian duo who have released on Tale of Us’s Afterlife and Tiefschwarz's Souvenir.  After early bird on sold out, we are now on to early 2 ticke available at http://www.familypiknikfestival.com where a limited amount will be available before the next phase. Epizode Festival ups its game again this year with the news that it has formed a creative and technical partnership with Sila Sveta, an interactive media, production and conceptual design company, for the production on the Main Stage. Says Natasha Rogal, CEO of Epizode festival, "It’s the first time in 4 years we make a step forward and deliver a brand new concept on the Main Stage of the festival. It’s become possible thanks to a cooperation with one of the most talented and professional teams in the industry. I am beyond excited because this will bring a new element of creativity and change the entire experience for our festival goers on the Main Stage!" Sila Sveta, a stellar interactive media studio, has collaborated with SETUP, an outstanding lighting design studio, to re-invent the central arena with simple linear structures empowered by bold light and video content to create a massive installation. In the very centre of the ensemble will be an intricate experimental object that explores the volume and geometry of a cube. Sila Sveta are the first call for every outrageous, unthinkable and unknown possibility in the field of digitally immersive experiences. They create content and provide the management necessary to install and produce any kind of show. Their studio has a unique working pipeline making it possible to deliver its exquisite product with unusually fast turnaround. There are several strong design teams in the studio, each lead by an exceptional art director. This flexible combination makes it possible to work on projects in completely different fields such as 3D mapping on buildings, holographic performances and lighting shows, all at the same time. About EPIZODE: EPIZODE is a music and art festival held at Vietnam’s most picturesque island getaway, Phu Quoc. The 11-day long festival kicks off after Christmas and ploughs through the hustle and bustle of the New Year. Over the last three editions, the festival has successfully featured some of the biggest electronic music headliners including the likes of Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, [a:rpia:r], alongside some of the most prolific talents in Asia. In 2019, attendance rates doubled from previous years, with more than 10,000 people from 79 countries. In only three years, EPIZODE is already recognized as one of the most iconic electronic music festivals in Asia. It is also touted as one of the best NYE music getaways that gathers ravers, industry folks and avid travelers in a dreamy environment equipped with an unparalleled music selection, combined with next level production and in artistic setting. This year's event will take place on a larger site with chill-out and daily activities zones, a food-court and market place. A significant effort is also put into the creation of a comfortable leisure area with yoga and sports, group meditation classes and healing sound sessions that will bring the mind and the body to balance. The art-program remains a priority with more new installations and a full list of the artists and key projects to be announced soon. Epizode Delivers Mesmerising Main Stage in Collaboration with Sila Sveta

by the partae January 5, 2020
written by the partae

Epizode Festival ups its game again this year with the news that it has formed a creative and technical partnership with Sila Sveta, an interactive media, production and conceptual design company, for the production on the Main Stage.

Says Natasha Rogal, CEO of Epizode festival, “It’s the first time in 4 years we make a step forward and deliver a brand new concept on the Main Stage of the festival. It’s become possible thanks to a cooperation with one of the most talented and professional teams in the industry. I am beyond excited because this will bring a new element of creativity and change the entire experience for our festival goers on the Main Stage!”

Sila Sveta, a stellar interactive media studio, has collaborated with SETUP, an outstanding lighting design studio, to re-invent the central arena with simple linear structures empowered by bold light and video content to create a massive installation.
