Hot off the heels of their most colossal year yet, Crocodylus today reveal secret track ‘Feed The Shark’ taken from their latest EP ‘Enjoy’. Those with a vinyl copy of the EP may have caught the delightful surprise hiding at the very end of final belter ‘Kraut’ which offers a different speed from the usually raucous surf-rock trio.

Light and poppy the song employs jangly guitars and plenty of crowd-sourced vocals which will surely be a treat live. Never ones to take time off the band will undertake a bunch of under 18s and 18+ dates spanning across Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide this February to belt out the chorus live.

‘Feed The Shark’ comes off the back of a hefty 2019 for the northern beaches boys who began the year with the first single from their third EP, the fan-focussed ‘Enjoy’ which was released on viral punks The Chats’ label Bargain Bin Records. Focus track ‘Motivation’ caught the attention of Spotify and was included in New Music Friday AU/NZ and All New Rock US, while single ‘Adrenaline’ was touted by General Pants, Wrangler and added to rotation on FBi Radio. 

They then finished the year with a reverb-charged 28-date Europe tour supporting the very same mullet-bearers across six countries, with Bad//Dreems and Totally Unicorn in tow. They also picked up a deal with legendary UK booking agency Xray Touring after selling out almost 50% of the dates.

Before traipsing across the globe, their unpredictable live show was honed on local stages where they’ve supported the likes of Ocean Alley, Dune Rats, Hockey Dad and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, as well as playing a coveted spot on last year’s Yours & Owls Festival, and kicked off 2019 with a tri-headline tour alongside A. Swayze and the Ghosts and VOIID.

Alex Ferrer is a DJ and producer, who has become one of Spain’s finest exports in House Music. He is also the label manager of Deeplomatic Recordings, a House Music record label that releases music from artists such as Robert Babicz, Ninetoes, Funk D´Void, Einmusik and DJ W!LD, just to name a few.

His credentials include a list of worldwide tours in renowned clubs as Space (Ibiza), Kater Blau (Berlin), The Block (Tel Aviv), Revolver Upstairs (AU), Gazgolder (RU) or Ministry of Sound (London) and festivals like Burning Man (US), Afrikaburn (SA), Midburn (IL) or Piknic Electronik Melbourne (AU) just to name a few.

To celebrate Starcrawler‘s live Australian debut, the Los Angeles-based rockers have announced a special headline show at Melbourne’s rock ‘n’ roll institute Cherry Bar on Monday 13 January. Lead by the untameable stage presence of vocalist Arrow de Wilde, Starcrawler‘s glammed up, punk ‘n’ roll live assault is not to be missed. Tickets on sale now.

Starcrawler are currently in Australia for their very first time, supporting fellow Californian natives The Growlers. With three shows down, Starcrawler join The Growlers on a further nine dates down our golden coastline stopping in most East Coast centres and surf breaks across QLD, NSW and VIC, including a night at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney. The tour follows the release of Starcrawler’s exciting second album Devour You – a record that dynamically captures the essence and aggression of their gloriously unhinged live shows. Devour You is available digitally and on limited edition black/red marbled vinyl, with a scratch and sniff sleeve via Rough Trade / Remote Control Records.

Starcrawler—vocalist Arrow de Wilde, guitarist/vocalist Henri Cash, bassist Tim Franco, and drummer Austin Smith—is a band possessed by the spirit of its own hometown of Los Angeles, every movement charged with a primal and manic electricity. The band formed in 2015, and since that time have gone from bashing out songs in the garage to earning legendary fans such as Shirley Manson and Elton John, and to supporting the likes of Beck, Foo Fighters, Spoon, The Distillers, MC5 and more. Devour You was produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, L7) and came to life at the famed Sunset Sound.

Epizode Festival ups its game again this year with the news that it has formed a creative and technical partnership with Sila Sveta, an interactive media, production and conceptual design company, for the production on the Main Stage.

Says Natasha Rogal, CEO of Epizode festival, “It’s the first time in 4 years we make a step forward and deliver a brand new concept on the Main Stage of the festival. It’s become possible thanks to a cooperation with one of the most talented and professional teams in the industry. I am beyond excited because this will bring a new element of creativity and change the entire experience for our festival goers on the Main Stage!”

Sila Sveta, a stellar interactive media studio, has collaborated with SETUP, an outstanding lighting design studio, to re-invent the central arena with simple linear structures empowered by bold light and video content to create a massive installation. In the very centre of the ensemble will be an intricate experimental object that explores the volume and geometry of a cube.

Sila Sveta are the first call for every outrageous, unthinkable and unknown possibility in the field of digitally immersive experiences. They create content and provide the management necessary to install and produce any kind of show. Their studio has a unique working pipeline making it possible to deliver its exquisite product with unusually fast turnaround. There are several strong design teams in the studio, each lead by an exceptional art director. This flexible combination makes it possible to work on projects in completely different fields such as 3D mapping on buildings, holographic performances and lighting shows, all at the same time.
