Bedouin reveal plans for second season of Saga at Heart Ibiza 27th May – 30th September

by the partae April 7, 2018
written by the partae

Bedouin and Heart Ibiza reveal plans for the second season of Saga. Returning every Sunday from the 27th May to 30th September, the series will once again take over Heart.

Inviting an impeccably curated and diverse selection of some the world’s most sought-after artists, the series will see the acts perform on the club’s upgraded sound system within an innovative and immersive production. The Saga team have created a sensory audio-visual experience that truly compliments the magic of the most avant-garde venue on the island.

Building on the original concept of telling a story in an enticingly beautiful yet dramatic way has been essential to the duo’s musical direction and artistic vision of the night. In just one year, Saga has become one of the most celebrated nights in Ibiza, pulling in a mature audience that is looking for a dynamic musical experience.

“We’re beyond grateful to have received such a warm welcome In Ibiza this past year. We had the pleasure to share our musical vision with a very special audience and connect with many inspiring people from all corners of the world.”

Saga’s musical direction will keep focus on precise programming and evolving energy levels staying connected with the audience. “We have invited a lot of the artists from last season and added a select few that we have felt a connection with.”  Some of this year’s guests include Black Coffee, Koze, Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, Jamie Jones, Guy Laliberte and dOP along with many more.

Under Bedouin and Heart’s creative direction, SAGA weaves Ibiza Sundays into musical odysseys that feed the senses and elevate the collective experience. Bedouin’s infectious blend of worldly sounds and genre bending rhythms will pulse again every Sunday at Heart Ibiza.

PITCHFORK MUSIC FESTIVAL PARIS announce first names: Bon Iver, Fever Ray, Mac DeMarco & Blood Orange. 1st, 2nd & 3rd November

written by the partae

The 8th edition of Pitchfork Music Festival Paris will take place on 1, 2 & 3 November 2018 at the Grande Halle de la Villette. Get ready for 3 days of heady musical action this Autumn in Paris!

Since 2011, the festival has made the Grande Halle de la Villette its home, right in the heart of Paris’ 19th arrondissement. Spread over 3 days, the festival offers music lovers a bold line-up that’s like no other, showcasing the best of the international indie scene.

We’re extremely excited to announce the first names: Bon Iver, whose beautiful melodies and delicately written songs we all know and love so well; the extravagant and unconventional Fever Ray, aka Karin Dreijer Andersson (one half of Swedish duo The Knife), who’s back with Plunge, her first album in 8 years; oddball eternal teenagerMac DeMarco brings his happy-go-lucky fragility; and finally, Devonté Hynes’ most indie-funk, R&B-pop alter-egoBlood Orange will be there, with his hotly anticipated new album up his sleeve.

Since 2016, Pitchfork Paris has spread its musical wings with Pitchfork Avant Garde. Spanning Paris’ Bastille neighbourhood, come discover the new indie guard over two nights of music, on 30 & 31 October.

Pitchfork Music Festival Paris is produced by Super Parisian booking and events agency, producing tours for French and International artists – and the American media Pitchfork.

Since its humble beginnings as Fuck Yeah Fest, scattered around club venues in Echo Park, FYF Fest has excelled at providing Los Angeles music lovers with a festival as diverse as they are. The famously eclectic line-ups bring break-out stars of the moment together with established, beloved and iconic acts. Goldenvoice came on board as co-promoters in 2011 and are now the sole owners of the festival. Under their care, FYF grew into a two-day outdoor event and arrived at its current home of Exposition Park – with headliners The Strokes – in 2014. The following year saw the arrival of The Woods, which has quickly earned its place as a highlight of the festival and of LA’s dance music scene in general. The Woods features extended sets from DJs not usually found at U.S. festivals, as well as showcasing DJs from the local and international Queer scene. The festival’s growing global reputation has lured some of music’s most charismatic performers to Downtown Los Angeles, including Grace Jones, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kanye West, Morrissey, Erykah Badu, Grimes, LCD Soundsystem, Solange, Bjork, D’Angelo, My Bloody Valentine and Missy Elliott.
For FYF 15, Goldenvoice booker Jennifer Yacoubian is working hand in hand with CEO Paul Tollett and former FYF Presents team Dave Peterson and Emily Twombly, whose work in bringing the festival to fruition dates back to 2009. Together, they’ve crafted the dynamic and vibrant festival Los Angeles deserves.
“FYF has been a Los Angeles staple for the past 15 years (happy anniversary to us!), and a very special event with a diverse booking that is unique to the festival,” saysFYF/Goldenvoice booker Jennifer Yacoubian. “In the past 15 years, this festival has grown immensely with a strong team of women and men behind it to bring fans the best weekend of summer. And with incredible artists like Janet Jackson and Florence + The Machine topping this year’s bill, we are so psyched to have two badass women leading the roster as we head into FYF Fest 2018.”
For the fourth year in a row, FYF Fest has partnered with Plus 1 to donate $1 of every ticket sold to high impact organizations working to support the people in our communities who need it the most, both locally and globally. Through this partnership over the last 3 years, $135,000 has gone to organizations such as My Friends Place, Partners In Health, Be The Match, American Immigration Council and Skateistan, with FYF Fest’s 2018 charity partners to be announced shortly.
Additionally, FYF Fest’s long standing commitment to local artists and businesses continues to be a vital part of their overall programming, with art installations from Los Angeles artists, as well as food and beverage options from some of the city’s favorite restaurants, and so much more.
