No stranger to a day party, Untitled Group have announced their virtual interpretation – pre-recorded from 3 unique, undisclosed Melbourne locations featuring panoramic views of the city skyline, a train carriage on a rooftop and an industrial warehouse location, the Virtual Day Party will be streamed via Untitled Group’s Facebook page. Headed up by two time Aria nominated house producer & Aussie festival favourite Dom Dolla, he will be joined by homegrown talent Willaris. K, Torren Foot, Jordan Brando, London Topaz & Elizabeth Cambage. The stream will be powered by Red Bull, with support and safety messaging from Vanessa.

The Coronavirus epidemic is changing the world. In what feels like an instant, the entire music industry has been brought to a halt. “Music lovers are being deprived of experiences that are so important to them & ingrained in their way of life, which is why we have decided to keep the spirit of our day parties alive in a new virtual format,” explains Untitled Group director Filippo Palermo. We’ve reached out to some of our audience’s favourite artists who have kindly donated their time in the spirit of filling this void.”

The Virtual Day party will stay true to all facets of the Untitled’s renowned ‘day party’ events in their uniqueness & quality on all fronts from lineup, to production, to location. “I’m super excited to be a part of this showcase, we really wanted to do something that was as visually engaging as it was attractive to the ears. Having recently sold out his headline show at the Coburg Velodrome, Dom will be showcasing a teaser of his forthcoming national tour which has been rescheduled to October this year around the country.

Willaris. K

Tastemaker and producer Willaris. K had his triple j supported break-out single “Alchemy” back in 2018 and has never looked back. His sophisticated techno has seen him earn fans in Pete Tong, sell-out shows in Australia and play at festivals including Coachella, Splendour in the Grass, Lollapalooza, Beyond the Valley, Wildlands, Forbidden Fruit and more. He’s just released brand new EP ‘LUSTRE’.

Torren Foot

Perpetually ahead of the curve, house producer Torren Foot was raised on the working docks of Melbourne’s inner west, and is now a fixture of Aussie club culture as one of the countries most in demand touring dj’s – he recently gained international attention following the release of ‘More Life’ topping #1 Beatport overall, support from tastemakers Adam Beyer, Claptone, Mat.Joe, Wax Motif & Destructo to name a few and A-list radio support from triple j.

Torren’s previous works have scored him an ARIA nomination for best dance release of collaborative single ‘Be Randy’ alongside Dom Dolla. Successive ARIA #1 club tracks ‘Hot Sauce’ & ‘Be Randy’ and notable remix of Tiga’s  ‘Bugati’ via Mad Decent/Turbo recordings.

Jordan Brando

Recognised by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong & tastemakers globally, Jordan’s abilities as a DJ and a producer raise no questions to why he is “a rising star in Australian dance music.” Standout performances at revered festivals Beyond the Valley and Pitch Music & Arts, and being handpicked to share the stage with the likes of Patrick Topping to Jamie Jones, have all contributed to solidifying Brando’s name as one Australia’s most promising dance music exports.

Elizabeth Cambage

Vaulting a solid basketball career, it’s her passion for music that has taken to the centre of her court, reeling in a fashionable barrage of attention in the electronic scene. Gracing the console at For The Love, Groovin’ The Moo Festival, Melbourne’s iconic institution Revolver, through to events for global brands like Adidas during Coachella week, Liz Cambage’s sound has travelled. Not only has she graced stages across the globe, but has too supported some of the world’s most renowned musical icons from Mary J Blige to Steve Aoki, sitting firmly amongst some of the highly influential pioneers.

London Topaz

With a style reminiscent of top-tier electronic artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL and Hayden James, London Topaz’s sound has captured the attention of dance music enthusiasts globally. With enthralling performances at his sold-out headline show, Beyond the Valley festival & For The Love, it’s no question why London Topaz has cemented himself as one of Australia’s top emerging talents.

After the overwhelming success of Delivered, Live’s inaugural streaming event last weekend, the show has been locked in to return on a weekly basis.
Hosted by sartorial star of stage and screen, Henry Wagons, Delivered, Live has evolved into a more concise 2.5 hour variety show, and will hit the event’s YouTube channel this Easter Sunday at 7pm. Further weekly episodes are scheduled for the following nine weekends.

The focus of the show will still be live music, but this will also be supported by sets from local comedians (including a regular appearance by Sami Shah, looking back at the week at the week that was) and expert panel discussions hosted by much loved TV and radio personality Myf Warhurst.

This week, join Henry Wagons on Delivered, Live along with live sets from Freya Josephine Hollick, Tim Rogers and Hayley Mary (The Jezabels).

As with the initial event, the majority of revenue raised by sponsors and ticket sales will go directly back to the performers on the show, the crew supporting them, and their nominated live music venue. The inaugural show sold 2,200 tickets, generating over $40,000 in revenue, which was distributed to artist and creative industries affected by the COVID-19 crisis across Victoria.

For this week’s event the recipients of those funds are as follows:

The Delivered, Live inaugural streaming festival kicks off at 5pm on Saturday April 4^th and organisers are thrilled to reveal the set times for performers, as well as the chosen venues and crew members nominated to receive a portion of the revenue.
The live music industry has taken a huge hit due to cancellations nationwide brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak, with many venues, crew, musicians and other industry workers losing their only source of income. Delivered, Live is a concept set to kick start the live music ecosystem again. A percentage of ticket sales and sponsorship will be directed to one venue and one crew member, nominated by each artist on the bill.

With many artists with Australian tours originally scheduled for the first half of 2020, The VANNS have been working hard in adapting to these strange COVID-19 times and have announced that their national Red Eye Tour has been rescheduled to take place in September.

Written by Jimmy Vann and Cameron Little, this version of ‘Jules Said’ expands upon the original album version, with the band hitting the studio with Grammy nominated, ARIA winning producer Adrian Breakspear (Gang of Youths, Pharrell Williams) to bring it  to life. “Jim and I wrote ‘Jules Said’ in my bedroom in under an hour. It was the first song we finished writing for Through The Walls. Music and comedy lovers across the country who have seen tours, festivals and live shows cancelling in recent weeks can look forward to a new festival this weekend, and they can enjoy it all from the comfort of their own homes!
Featuring acclaimed solo artists Alex Lahey,  Bob Evans, (Jedediah front man Kevin Mitchell), Ali Barter, Henry Wagons, indie favourites Even and internationally acclaimed blues singer C.W. Stoneking. As well as this there will be something for the kids with the Teeny Tiny Stevies.
They’ll be joined by four talented local comedians including Andy Saunders and Sami Shah for a night of live entertainment connecting Victorians through music, comedy, inspiring stories and advice from experts on dealing with isolation.

Streaming is free, although viewers will be encouraged to make a donation by purchasing a ticket through Oztix to view the stream which will help support the creative industries impacted by the coronavirus, including artists, managers, sound engineers and support staff. Tailored beverage packs from bushfire impacted regional wineries will also be on sale for delivery to enjoy during the festival.

Compounding the bushfires which hurt many regional communities, coronavirus social distancing measures means these towns are further isolated, making it harder to raise funds and continue the rebuilding and recovery efforts.
Regional towns across the country impacted by bushfires, drought and the ongoing coronavirus restrictions will be able to enjoy a night of live streaming music and comedy to help connect communities during these trying times.

In the midst of the world’s lockdown we are all forced to refocus after our daily lives have in many ways been put on hold. Many artists have had to change their plans around their album releases, from the buzz of touring, to now having to stay at home in isolation. Thankfully we live in a digital age where we are able to stay connected and continue to share the beautiful music that these artists work tirelessly to create for our enjoyment.

By turns break-up album, project of curiosity, and, as Dana puts it, “a reckoning with myself,” Yesterday Is Gone is an album of longing and devotion to longing, and of the uncertainty that arises from learning about oneself, of pushing boundaries, falling hard, and getting back up.  Moments of beguilement splinter a backdrop of tenderly picked guitar, bass, synth, and poppier elements, which commune to produce her own kind of wall of sound. Each component is meticulously placed, yielding a deeply sincere response to the chaos of human emotion.

Yesterday Is Gone was co-produced between Dana, Toronto-based musician Sam Gleason, and Mike Lindsay (Tunng and LUMP w/ Laura Marling). While Sam helped Dana bring out the tunes, Mike’s input marked the beginning of developing Dana’s sound. The two kept stripped it down to the essentials, keeping things bare and letting the songs speak for themselves. The album shapeshifted as it passed through the hands of Dana, Sam, and Mike, taking on different tastes, feelings, and visions. When Dana performed the songs with a band, they found new form again. She was intrigued by performers like David Bowie and Aldous Harding, who inhabit different personalities on stage, physically tuning themselves to their music. 

“Often we have to go a little far in one direction to learn something about ourselves,” Dana says. The months of solitary writing and self-doubt testify to this, but they’ve led to Yesterday Is Gone: an optimistic, steely-eyed gaze into the future.

Melbourne’s Didirri today announces the rescheduling of his upcoming Australian headline tour, which was due to take place across the country throughout April. The new tour dates will now take place in the same venues throughout November. He wishes to convey his sadness of not being able to play any new music live for his fans right now, but also advises people to support the strict ethos of self-isolating and minimising unnecessary public contact at this horrible time. As a gift and consolation for fans, Didirri has also given us new music, stating “if music is all I have to give you right now, then that’s what I will do”. “Don’t fight with what you’re fighting for“ was written at his home in Melbourne over a year ago, and recorded later in Johanna, Victoria. The song serves as a comment, but also a reminder, that positive change has to first come from yourself. Hold yourself accountable before you do those around you.

Or as Didirri explains, “To put it bluntly: you fix the world by fixing your own shit” “There is no point trying to tackle something on a big scale, if you can’t stick to your morals and lead by example.”

As everything shuts down – events and festivals cancelled, venues empty, jobs in jeopardy, a whole music and arts community thrown into uncertainty… It’s a poignant reminder to focus on the small things you can do, and how they affect the people around you. It’s also a reminder that, no matter what, we still have music. Songs will still be written, stories still shared, heartbreak and joy still soundtracked, music is still the glue that brings us all together. The video embraces that message, with a whole stack of fellow musicians (Vance Joy, Montaigne, Client Liaison, Odette, Meg Mac, Kira Puru, Alex The Astronaut + more), as well as industry colleagues, friends and loved ones from all over the world sending in clips of them coming together to (virtually) sing the chorus.

Frontier Touring wishes to advise that Marc Rebillet will now tour Australia and New Zealand for the first time in January and February 2021. Rebillet was originally set to perform this month, but his tour dates have been rescheduled due to the current COVID-19 crisis and subsequent government directives to restrict all public gatherings in both Australia and New Zealand.

In lieu of his originally scheduled Australian and New Zealand tour dates, Rebillet has taken to the internet over this past week to offer fans his Quarantine Livestream Tour. Full sets have been live-streamed at the date and time that Rebillet was set to perform in each Australian and New Zealand city. Catch up on each of the live-streamed sets via Rebillet’s official YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch channels.

Special guest for the new 2021 tour dates will be announced in due course.

All existing ticketholders need not take action: original purchases are valid for entry at the rescheduled show dates and fans are encouraged to #KeepYourTicket and attend the rescheduled Jan-Feb shows. Ticketholders will be contacted directly via their show’s authorised ticketing agency regarding these date changes; steps will be provided should the Jan-Feb dates not suit.

Laneway Presents, Chugg Entertainment & Frontier Touring wish to advise that Tame Impala will be rescheduling the Australian and New Zealand leg of their upcoming tour to December 2020.

The shows, originally planned to be held in April, are no longer able to go ahead due to the current COVID-19 crisis and subsequent Government directives, limiting the size of public gatherings in both Australia and New Zealand.

Tame Impala’s December run will begin at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday 5 December and continue through Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Tickets for all shows are available now.

It is with regret that the promoters advise special guests Khruangbin were not available to join Tame Impala on their rescheduled December dates. A new support will be announced in the near future.

Ticketholders are encouraged to hold onto their tickets (#KeepYourTicket); all tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates. Patrons who are unable to attend the rescheduled shows will be entitled to a full refund from their authorised point of purchase.

Laneway Presents, Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring apologise to any ticketholders who are inconvenienced by these rescheduled dates and thank fans for their support and understanding during these unprecedented circumstances.
