Hannes Bieger’s Breathtaking New Album Galaxies Lands Soon

by the partae January 29, 2025
written by the partae

German maestro Hannes Bieger, known for his technical precision and creative depth, is set to launch his upcoming album Galaxies—a profound exploration of existence, consciousness, and our shared bond as humans. Rooted in themes of love and universal connection, the album promises to be a defining chapter in Bieger’s journey as both an artist and producer.

The latest single, ‘Stardust,’ is a dazzling preview of what’s to come. Featuring the ethereal vocals of Icelandic singer FEY, the track marks a long-awaited collaboration for Hannes, whose admiration for her artistry has been evident since spotlighting her song Volta (with Tripolism) on his Balance Series mix. With Stardust, their creative synergy is fully realized, delivering an emotionally charged anthem that speaks to the chemistry of love and the magic of human connection.

From the opening moments, Stardust sweeps listeners off their feet with a bouncy bassline and mesmerizing motifs that immediately draw you in. Bieger’s signature production style—a progressive evolution of melodies and textures—creates an ever-shifting sonic landscape. FEY’s delicate yet powerful vocals emerge gracefully, weaving seamlessly into the instrumental and heightening the track’s emotional intensity.

The song’s crescendo arrives with a tension-filled breakdown that gives way to a stunning release of energy, as FEY’s lyrics—“Moments pass like fireworks between your heart and my heart”—capture the essence of love with poetic simplicity. It’s a heartfelt expression that perfectly aligns with the overarching themes of the album.

Stardust radiates optimism and joy, its playful melodic layers and uplifting energy creating an atmosphere of pure positivity. FEY’s voice acts as the emotional anchor, adding a deeply human touch to Bieger’s celestial soundscape. The result is a harmonious blend of artistry that feels both transcendent and grounded—a dream fulfilled for Bieger and an unforgettable experience for anyone who listens.

With Stardust, Hannes Bieger continues to cement his reputation as a boundary-pushing artist whose music resonates on both an emotional and cosmic level. If this track is any indication, Galaxies is set to be a landmark release that reminds us all of the power of connection, creativity, and love.

Ben & Vincent Unleash the Enchanting Zoa EP on WAYU Records

by the partae January 25, 2025
written by the partae

The rise of downtempo and organic house has brought a wave of boundary-pushing artists like Acid Pauli, Nicola Cruz, and Sabo to the forefront of electronic music, reshaping dancefloors and playlists alike. Adding their names to this esteemed lineup, Ben & Vincent unveil their latest creation, Zoa EP—an eight-track odyssey of cinematic grandeur, organic textures, and forward-thinking production. Released on Wayu Records, the EP draws inspiration from William Blake’s mythical Zoas, exploring the depths of reason, passion, instinct, and creativity through both original tracks and transformative remixes.

The journey begins with Emily’s Prelude, a breathtaking collaboration with composer Will Hyde, known for his orchestral work with Disney and Hans Zimmer. This cinematic opener sets the stage with symphonic elegance and subtle electronic undertones. The title track, Zoa, follows with raw, untamed energy, driven by jungle-inspired rhythms and pulsating passion. makeke’s remix elevates this primal essence, transforming it into a hypnotic club anthem.

With Rintrah, Ben & Vincent team up with Magupi to weave a mystical narrative, blending organic soundscapes and haunting melodies. Ohxala’s remix takes this deeper, reimagining the track as a meditative exploration of ambient and tribal textures. The EP’s finale, Flying Circus, brings playful sophistication to the table, with Akira Arasawa and Timboletti offering two striking remixes that transition from dancefloor energy to a lush, immersive organic house journey.

Zoa EP is more than a release; it’s a statement. Ben & Vincent masterfully craft a sonic experience that bridges storytelling, emotion, and innovation, marking them as rising stars in the downtempo scene. Available now on all major platforms, this is a must-hear for fans of electronic music’s most evocative sounds.

Mile High Mike Colin releases “Feature Presentations”

by the partae January 25, 2025
written by the partae

16 legendary MC’s join Mike on this Hip Hop record making it a fun and crazy listen. Thanks to Producers Wyshmaster, Anno Domini, Legion, and Temper we get

Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Cappadonna, B-Real, Ice-T, KRS-One, Ceelo Green, Rick Ross, Yukmouth, Rah Digga, Pacewon, Dizzy Wright, Rittz, Benny the Butcher and Lenny Cooper. Available to stream Jan 31st on Spotify, Apple Music, & YouTube Music,

Limited edition Vinyl and Cassette versions are scheduled to drop in April.

“Mike just makes music all the time. He doesn’t really have any hobbies.

He raised 4 kids, worked as a Recording Engineer, Event DJ and Substitute Teacher.

Other than that he is writing and recording, or maybe vacationing. I think this is why he doesn’t perform that much, because he is almost always working on something new. His wife gave him a beautiful 12-string guitar and he’s got a great acoustic set he plays everyday right now and I think he would like to get out there but the live show doesn’t drive him. He lives and loves to record. As Mile High Mike Colin he loves to collaborate with other producers like Wyshmaster, Temper, Anno Domini and Legion. It gives him a chance to just be a vocalist/lyricist, which is nothing but fun for him. As Milky Way Mike Colin he explores his instrumental side. As Mike Colin he rocks and rolls. As Zhitkur Roswell he makes beatstrumentals. It really is ridiculous how much output Mike has had. I mean only the likes of McCartney, Prince, Frank Black, Buckethead, Zappa, The Residents, and The Rolling Stones have made more music. When I think of all the trauma he’s endured in his life, both physical and mental. Abandoned by his dad, brutal gang beatings, false accusations, attempted shootings, hit by a car, his mother an unsolved murder, drug addiction, betrayed by friends in the music industry, He’s had a stroke. He broke his back. He was born blind in one eye , he is practically blind in his good eye. He lives his life and he makes music. He does not act, does not model, does not hang out at bars, does not play video games. He makes music. When I ask him he says ‘If something is fun and you’re good at it, and it makes you feel alive, wouldn’t you do it all the time too?'”

NATURE ONE celebrates 30 years

by the partae January 25, 2025
written by the partae
Celebrating 30 Years“ is the motto for the next edition of Germany’s most  traditional open-air festival

From July 31 to August 3, 2025, a very special chapter in the festival’s history will be  written at the former Pydna missile base: NATURE ONE is celebrating its 30th anniversary  with the motto “Celebrating 30 Years”. In keeping with the 30th anniversary, the festival is  supporting the Reiner Meutsch Foundation “FLY & HELP” with the construction of a  school in Rwanda.

Since 1995, the festival has stood for basic values such as freedom, tolerance and togetherness  and has been committed to charitable projects at home and abroad for over 15 years. In  cooperation with Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V., various well projects have already been  realized in Uganda. For the 30th anniversary of the festival, another important step is now being  taken: the construction of a school in Rwanda in cooperation with the aid organization FLY &

HELP.

The targeted donation target of EUR 50,000 for the construction of the school with three  classrooms, cistern and toilets was recently reached. The school building is now due to be  completed in May.

“We are incredibly proud that the NATURE ONE community has supported us so extensively  with donations for this project and that we can complete the construction of the school before our  30th anniversary,” says Oliver Vordemvenne from I-Motion.

NATURE ONE began in August 1995, when the first open-air rave took place at Hahn Airport  with 13,000 enthusiastic dancers. In the years that followed, the number of visitors increased  continuously and the festival quickly developed into one of the largest and most famous of its  kind in Germany. The Pydna festival location in Kastellaun now includes a campsite the size of  more than 50 football fields. Over 350 international DJs play on 22 floors and create a boundless  sense of community.

NATURE ONE – organizer I-Motion is a wholly owned subsidiary of DEAG Deutsche  Entertainment AG. The exclusive ticket partner is myticket.de.

SHAME ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIA HEADLINE DATES

by the partae January 22, 2025
written by the partae

UK post-punk five piece Shame have announced headline dates of Australia and New Zealand. The band will step in to replace Wunderhorse in support of Fontaines D.C. on their forthcoming tour as well as headline performances in Sydney, Melbourne and Wellington.

Originally hailed by The Guardian as “2018’s angriest, shoutiest young British guitar band” Shame’s most recent release Food for Worms is  a sonic departure from anything they’ve done before. It careened and crashed into life faster than anything the band had created previously: a weapon-grade cocktail that captured all the gristle and fragility that earned them their merits.

Produced by Flood (U2, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave) the album sees shame abandon their post-punk beginnings for far more eclectic influences, drawing from the tense atmospherics of Merchandise, the sharp yet uncomplicated lyrical observations of Lou Reed and the more melodic works of 90s German band, Blumfeld.

New Sounds Magazine reflected recently that Shame has “risen their heads above the parapet of post-punk pyrotechnics,” with their live shows evolving from “entertaining to unmissable.” Let that serve as a warning.

Ticket Presale: Thu 23rd Jan at 11am local
General sale: Fri 24th Jan at 11am local

Tickets on sale via handsometours.com

Tickets to Shame and Fontaines D.C. available now.

Noel Holler’s Afro-House Evolution and Vibes

by the partae January 22, 2025
written by the partae

What inspired this shift to a fresh Afro-house sound with “All I Need,” and how does it differ from your usual high-energy techno and bass house tracks?

The inspiration for “All I Need” came from a desire to explore a deeper emotional connection in my music. I wanted to challenge myself and experiment with a sound that captures more warmth and soul, while still keeping the energy alive. And I felt with Afro-house I caught THE vibe of the summer.

How did the collaboration with SHELLS come about, and what was it like working with her on this emotive track?

SHELLS has such an incredible voice, and when I first heard her work, I immediately felt she was the perfect fit for this track. I reached out to her team with the demo, and she resonated with the vibe right away. Working with her was an inspiring experience. Can’t wait for another one!

Can you talk about the personal experiences that influenced the song’s lyrics and overall vibe?

“All I Need” is rooted in a sense of gratitude. Over the past year, I’ve experienced moments of clarity about what truly matters in my life-to have the important people in my life around me. This feeling became the foundation of the song. It’s about cherishing those moments where you feel complete and spend time with your peers.

How did your summer festival performances and “Holler at Me” boat parties shape your music heading into the fall?

This summer was all about connecting with people in such dynamic ways, whether it was the massive energy at festivals like Parookaville or the absolute vibey setting with my community on the boat parties. Performing live always influences my creativity—it gives me direct feedback on what resonates with the crowd. Heading into fall, I wanted to channel the uplifting energy from those experiences into something fresh and more “clubby”. Stay tuned 😉

How did the partnership with FIVE Music come to be, and what are you most looking forward to about debuting “All I Need” live in Dubai?

FIVE Music reached out to me and it immediately felt like a perfect fit. The contact was supportive and professional from the beginning.  I’m excited to debut “All I Need” at the FIVE Music Hotels event—it’s a chance to connect with a global audience in a stunning setting. Plus, performing in Dubai is always special!

How does FIVE Music’s vision align with your own as an artist, and what does it mean to have their support for your new single?

FIVE is sharing a passion for creating unforgettable moments, which aligns perfectly with my vision as an artist. Having their support means a lot—it allows me to bring my music to a broader audience while staying true to my artistic direction. Together, we’re creating something more than just music; we’re curating an experience.

Can fans expect to hear “All I Need” live at your headline show in Bootshaus, and how do you plan to integrate your new sound into your set?

Bootshaus was such an incredible night, and the energy in the room was unreal! While “All I Need” didn’t make it into the setlist this time, the song has definitely influenced the way I approach my live sets overall. Its vibe inspired me to experiment with more dynamic moments and create a journey for the audience, blending high-energy tracks with deeper, more emotive transitions. I can’t wait to bring it to the stage at just the right moment!

How do your collaborations challenge and inspire your creative process, and are there any future partnerships to look forward to?

Every collaboration brings something unique to the table. Working with Alle Farben and LUM!X pushed me to embrace more simple melodies, while SHELLS inspired me to dive deeper into emotional storytelling. These partnerships keep me evolving as an artist. As for the future, there are definitely more exciting collabs in the pipeline—but I’ll keep those under wraps for now!

How important is your personal connection with fans, both in your music and your brand?

It’s everything to me. My fans are the reason I do what I do. Whether it’s through the music, my live shows, or my very own “Holler at Me” shows, I want them to feel like they’re part of the journey. Building that connection goes beyond the stage—it’s about creating a community where we all share a love for music and good vibes.

What’s next for Noel Holler after the success of “All I Need” and your collaboration with FIVE Music?

Looking ahead, there’s a lot in the works—new music, more live shows, and some exciting creative projects. I’m also exploring ways to elevate my performances, incorporating more visuals and immersive elements. 2025 is going to be about pushing boundaries and continuing to connect with fans in meaningful ways. And I can’t wait to visit you guys in Dubai again. Stay tuned!

Royel Otis wrap up an incredible 2024 at the Hordern Pavilion

by the partae January 22, 2025
written by the partae

Words: Ken Magno

Royel Otis sold out ‘Coming Home’ show, packing out Sydney’s iconic venue to the brim and delivering a show that solidifies the Byron duo’s place as one of Australia’s best current acts. Catapulting from local heroes to global superstardom thanks to their ARIA topping debut album ‘Pratts & Pain’, as well as a sold-out world tour beside it, Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic were building up quite the reputation – and one that they easily proved they could live up to.

The night kicked off with drums kicking into the opening beat for their track ‘Heading for the Door’, one of the many great tracks off their recent debut album. The band exploded into view with the boy’s front and center, behind them a gigantic statue of a prawn towering over them (an audience member yelling out “Did they steal the Ballina prawn?”).

The night had numerous highlights, from anthemic tunes such as ‘Motels’ and ‘Kool-Aid’, to their viral hit cover of Sophie Ellis-Baxter’s 2001 hit single ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, which quickly received much praise from the audience. Royel Otis’ discography perfectly blends together aspects of Australia’s iconic indie surf-rock sound with elements of synth-pop to create their vibrant sound, with Otis’ soft and dreamy vocals perfectly harmonized with Royel’s expressive guitars. The band closed out with their hit single ‘Oysters in My Pocket’ being coming back with an encore of their cover of the Cranberries ‘Linger’, a moment that seemed to freeze time itself as the audience quietened down to a hush before joining the duo for the chorus, the line “I’m in so deep, you know I’m such a fool for you” echoing through the Hordern and etching itself into the walls like a sonic memory, closing out the year perfectly.

2024 has been nothing but stellar for Royel Otis, and with three more appearances before the year closes out with an impressive festival run at Lost Paradise, Wildlands and Beyond the Valley, the future only looks bigger and brighter for the homegrown Aussie heroes.

Mk.gee’s Journey: The Enmore Show, A Phenomenal Night

by the partae January 21, 2025
written by the partae

Photo: Bradley Calder

Words: Ken Magno

There are not many acts within the music world that can be described as timeless, let alone be awarded the accolade of being one of the most influential artists of 2024 in his own breakout year. Described as “your favourite artists favourite artist”, Mk.gee has grown from cult followings to having one of the fastest growing followings seen within the alternative music sphere.

From song writing credits with the likes of Role Model, Omar Apollo, Fred Again, the Kid Laroi and even Drake, to being the co-producer of Dijon’s genre-bending and career defining debut album ‘Absolutely’, Mk.gee is no stranger to the musical world. His own debut release of ‘Two Star and the Dream Police’ was already named by many as the high contender for Album of the Year, while only being released in February.

Mk.gee’s distinct sound rung out across the halls of the Enmore as the night began with the sombre title track from his debut, ‘Dream Police’, a song which showcases his beautifully haunting story telling mixed with his signature call and response style guitar playing. The night was mostly dark and ambient, with low amounts of lighting used compared to a normal show at the Enmore, putting more of a focus on his skills as a musician than his actual image.

Tracks such as ‘A Little Bit More’, ‘I Want’ and ‘Breakthespell’ casting an image of a broken and tortured lover longing for something just out of his reach, with the sound being a perfect blend of Jeff Buckley style song writing mixed with Phil Collins-esque instrumentals. His use of unorthodox techniques to transform his guitar from the instrument most people would familiarise themselves with to a sonic tool that elevates how he speaks his message. Mk.gee’s instruments are an extension of his body, with his distorted vocals taking the backseat to the melodies he’s able to communicate through his use of sound manipulation with his guitar. This is best displayed in his hit single ‘Are You Looking Up?’, which became an instant indie hit upon release.

Though there were many points in the night that caught the audience off guard (most notably his iconic Eagle-like shriek that he would yell out between lines), nothing was as pleasant of a surprise as when he performed fan favourite track ‘DNM’ (co-written by his good friend Dijon) a grand total of 4 (maybe 5) times, bringing the crowd to their feet and having the whole venue starting up in a giant moshpit, something that was not on my concert bingo – though something only someone as talented as Mk.gee could accomplish.

The night ended with an encore that felt more like a musical replay of the whole night, starting with ‘Alesis’, which brought forward that upbeat ambience that he is known for, before hitting us with another run or two of ‘DNM’, wrapping up with a second play of his most recent release ‘ROCKMAN’, an anthemic release reminiscent of the Police’s style of music. Mk.gee’s journey to becoming one of the most notable artists of the decade (if not, of all time) is certainly ramping up without any signs of slowing down, and can only be summed up by his iconic line in ‘Are You Looking Up’ – “So if you wanna go, then baby, go wide”.
